Dr. Alex, a proud Stockton native, brings a passion for restoring smiles and improving the lives of his patients. Growing up immersed in the dental field, he started working in his father’s practice as a receptionist and RDA while still in high school. Dr. Alex’s educational journey includes a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from UC Santa Barbara and a D.D.S. degree from Universidad De La Salle Bajío in 2021. He holds certifications from the Academy of Minimally Invasive Implantology (AMII) and the Minimally Invasive Restorative Approach (MIRA), focusing on high-quality, minimally invasive treatments. Implants, extractions, and restorative dentistry are his favorite services, as they provide functional and aesthetic transformations for his patients.

Dr. Contreras, the founder and owner of Contreras Family Dental, has been practicing dentistry for 28 years. After graduating from Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas in 1987, he earned his California license in 1998 and continued his professional development with a USDI post-grad program in orthodontics. Dr. Contreras is known for his dedication to dental excellence and his commitment to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for.
